Show Me! the process with technology. What owners and their teams need to know about scoping, scheduling, budgeting and executing scan to BIM and reality capture in their proposals. This presentation will highlight DBIA and BIMForum approaches in the areas of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC). It will share lessons learned from planning and scoping projects as large as a multi million square foot asset to as small as a one hour mechanical room scan and everything in between. Additionally, the session will present trends in cloud computing and collaborative construction delivery with new emerging tools to support design build teams.
Speaker: Mr. Will Ikerd, P.E. (TX) has served in BIMForum leadership since 2008 and is currently on the board of directors. He chairs the BIMForum task forces for BIM Execution Plans (BxP), Realty Capture and Level Of Development (LOD) Specification. He graduated with his bachelor’s in civil engineering and masters in structural engineering in 1998 from Washington University in St. Louis with a focus on 3D parametric modeling. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Denver. He is also a principal at IKERD, a firm that specializes in
