Join us as we hear from Aaron Persen who will be giving us an update regarding the Metro Community College – Sarpy County Campus
Aaron’s varied background and experience in all make him uniquely qualified to identify and successfully implement aesthetically appealing, functional design solutions. He is a practicing architect and the primary contact for new and substantial renovation projects at Metropolitan Community College, overseeing projects from the beginning of design through construction.
Prior to joining MCC, Aaron was Principal at DLR Group where he was a key member of over 250 projects, including; the Pinnacle Bank Arena; Jackie D. Gaughan Multicultural Center (University of Nebraska – Lincoln); Elkhorn South and Elkhorn North High Schools (Omaha); Buena Vista High School (OPS); Boys Town Education Center (Omaha); the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital (Omaha); and national justice projects including the San Diego County Jail (CCA) and Hancock County Jail (MS).
Aaron graduated cum laude from St. Olaf College with a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and Interdisciplinary Fine Arts and graduated first in his class from Iowa State University with a Master of Architecture. He holds architectural licenses in 12 states, his NCARB certificate, and LEED AP BD+C.
