Steps away from one of Kansas City’s most notable destinations, The Country Club Plaza guests and visitors will experience a luxury stay at the new dual brand – Cascade Hotel, Tribute Portfolio and Aloft on the Plaza. DLR Group’s design gives a contemporary edge to traditional Spanish and Mediterranean architecture within each layered space of the building. Spanish architecture extends inside with curved ceilings highlighting the fluid, soft nature of the space and handcrafted masonry and warm materials that evoke the feeling of home. Patterns and textures bring warmth to the space with terra cotta accents and rich cobalt blue tones. Guest rooms, meeting spaces, and the ballroom overlooks a unique vantage point towards the main plaza thanks to an architectural bowl that reflects light into the large windows. Staggered brick screens and accent metals play with light as it cascades through creating transparency between spaces.
