Kansas City’s most significant infrastructure project in a decade, the new Buck O’Neil Bridge Project will replace the aging existing structure with two new river bridges and a series of approaches and land structures. The project will improve regional and local system performance, most notably by providing a new, direct connection from I-35 to US-169 prior to the Missouri River crossing. Built by Massman-Clarkson, a Joint Venture, with design by HNTB, the project is more than halfway complete and scheduled to open in late 2024.
